Frequently asked questions

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Open the app and go to Settings → Get Pro. Tap the upgrade button and complete the one-time purchase through the App Store. Pro is a lifetime unlock — you pay once and keep it forever, with no subscription.

How does iCloud Sync work?

iCloud Sync is a Pro feature. Once unlocked, your workouts are automatically backed up to your personal iCloud account and synced across any iPhone or iPad signed in with the same Apple ID. Make sure iCloud is enabled in your device settings.

The app isn't syncing between my devices — what should I do?

First, confirm that iCloud is enabled: go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud and check that Gym Companion is toggled on. Also check that both devices have an active internet connection. If sync is still not working, try force-quitting and reopening the app on both devices. If the issue persists, contact us with your device models and iOS versions.

I restored my iPhone — how do I get my workouts back?

If you are a Pro subscriber with iCloud Sync enabled, your data will restore automatically after signing in with your Apple ID. If you were on the free tier, workout data is stored locally and will not survive a full device wipe without a device backup.

Can I export my workout data?

Gym Companion exports completed workouts to Apple Health, where you can view and export them using the Health app. A dedicated CSV or JSON export feature is on the roadmap for a future update.

How do I delete all my data?

To delete local data, simply delete the app from your device. To delete iCloud data, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Gym Companion and delete the stored data there.

I was charged but Pro isn't unlocked — what do I do?

Go to Settings → Restore Purchases inside the app. This re-validates your purchase with the App Store and should unlock Pro immediately. If that doesn't work, please contact us with your Apple ID email and order number from Apple.
